About the Role:

We are excited to be looking for our newest litigation attorney to join our Austin team.

We want a long term, dedicated, talented, and full- time litigation attorney with a minimum of at least three (3) years of relevant experience. Our firm primarily defends clients related to construction defect, bodily injury, wrongful death, and oil and gas.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have experience taking depositions
  • Must be skilled in law and motion practice
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Must have exceptional attentions to details, you will be managing and developing several cases and files
  • Must be a strategic thinker and creative problem solver
  • Must be confident working independently
  • Must show initiative and be ready to take on challenges
  • Must have a strong work ethic, meet deadlines and achieve results
  • Must be dependable and able to work a regular full week, Monday-Friday
  • Must have and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Adobe

Additional Skills and Abilities (Added Plus but Not Required):

  • Experience in third-party insurance defense

About the Role:

Our firm located in Carlsbad, CA has an immediate opening for a full-time talented and hard-working Jr. Paralegal. This is an exciting new position for our growing firm.

This job role requires that you be an office floater. You will be assisting where needed and working alongside our busy team of attorneys and Sr. Paralegal staff through all phases of our litigation cases, with the potential for career growth and development. You must possess strong organizational skills to be successful in this role. Our firms primarily defend clients related to general liability, property and premises, bodily injury and construction defect

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • A minimum of 6 months -2 years of paralegal experience
  • Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved Paralegal program
  • Exceptional organizational, computer and technical skills
  • Experience with case management and trial preparation
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Be punctual, honest and dependable
  • Available to work a normal full- time schedule
  • Must be a team player, possess a positive attitude and pick up on things very quickly
  • Able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
  • Strong multi-tasking skills

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Computer proficiency
  • Must possess strong grammar, spelling and editing skills
  • Experience with filing procedures
  • Ability to work Independently
  • Research, analyze and organize intricate and large sets of legal documents
