Bob Bruce joined Team Tarle in August 2023 as a Partner in the San Diego Office. Bob brings significant experience in litigation and trial practice. His civil experience includes complex products liability litigation and general business, real estate, and construction defect litigation in federal and state courts. Bob also spent 17 years as a prosecutor in San Diego, where he prosecuted countless serious and violent felony cases including murders, carjackings, robberies, financial crimes, and complex gang conspiracies.
Bob is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and a United States Marine Corps combat veteran. He retired in 2022 as a Colonel after 30 combined years of active duty and reserve service. He served as an infantry and artillery officer in leadership and operations roles throughout his career, with deployments to Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia (Iraq). He is a Navy-Marine Corps Parachutist and Jumpmaster. His personal awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Joint Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
