The firm has drafted and negotiated multi-phase Controlled Insurance Requirements (CIP) / WRAPS, in the commercial, residential and governmental sectors, negotiating with insurance underwriters on behalf of our clients for endorsement language and scope of coverage. 

Our team has been retained by clients to craft contract language which serves to tie contractual indemnity to insurance requirements in efforts to avoid coverage gaps that can often be created when continuity of the contract is not assessed. Our attorneys work closely with brokers and underwriters to ensure that market capacity and the contract requirements coincide. The firm has been retained to draft CIP / WRAP manuals and to assist clients in complying with CIP / WRAP state statutory notice requirements.

The firm represented a renowned energy company during cutting edge international engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contract negotiations by drafting industry specific Controlled Insurance Program (CIP) and risk transfer requirements and obligations which were utilized to mitigate the clients’ exposure and protect their interests while constructing a nuclear power plant.
