Cynthia Marks practices out of Tarle Law's California Office, and is licensed to practice law in California, New York and the District of Columbia. She has an extensive civil litigation background, with significant experience in dispute resolution, and has successfully conducted arbitrations and trial. She is experienced in handling complex construction defect matters, defending clients against allegations of defective construction, negligent design, standard of care, breach of contract, breach of warranty, statutory violations and product liability. She represents owners, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors in construction defect actions involving commercial property, hotels, single-family homes, condominium developments, and school districts. She is skilled in handling multi-party and high exposure actions, involving tender of defense and indemnification, expert analysis, allocation of liability and damages, evaluation of settlement potential and risk transfer. Her background includes insurance coverage consulting, providing clients and the insurance carriers she works with well-rounded representation.

Cynthia also has significant experience in handling personal injury, product liability, and premises liability actions, and has been successful in obtaining favorable arbitration awards and reaching favorable settlements in high exposure matters. In addition to these practice areas, prior to joining Tarle Law, she represented corporations, companies, and individuals in state and federal courts in business and real estate litigation, and patent and trademark infringement matters. She also has experience handling asbestos litigation and latex allergy litigation in multi-district matters. Cynthia's solid and varied litigation experience, technical excellence and sharp analytical skills, provide her with the superior ability to problem solve, negotiate, and effectively and successfully resolve a broad range of matters which arise on behalf of clients.

Cynthia has served on the Board of the Del Mar American Little League for 2014-2015, and continues to actively volunteer in the community with Competitive and Recreational sports teams and school activities.
